We believe that we are all makers that’s why our fablab community is growing every day. But the bigger it gets, the harder it is to connect with each other. The internet is no longer enough and we need to meet, touch and get to know in real ! We are all convinced of the power of sharing ideas, good practices, knowledge and skills all around us, however everybody doesn’t speak english (or a same language) when it’s time to document our projects. Moreover, many citizens still don’t have any fablab access. How can we spread the makers spirit through our network without forgetting anybody ? From local to international networks, how the mobility of information, makers or fablabs is being set up ? This international meeting in Clermont-Ferrand and Le Puy-En-Velay will lead to a report for the FabFoundation.

“The first state of the art on mobility for our network.”

A group of makers focusing on Mobility of makers, fablabs and data is waiting for you in a wonderful french green landscape with the volcanos of Auvergne. Through conferences, round tables and working groups we want to create an international makers team interested in identifying issues around this topic of mobility. They will work together during the next 2 years, until FAB16 in Canada, with a middle step in Egypt for FAB15 to introduce a conclusion to shape the future of makers, fablabs and data mobility.

TALKS & CONFERENCES

Lecturers and experts from different fields will give us their external vision on the evolution of the makers movement.
